There’s jazz, R&B, pop, gospel and then there’s SWAG. Swag is a rhythmic soulful sound of all of the above. Written as a tribute to the first black president of the United States Barack Obama.
I don’t like to say there’s a hidden message in any song I write, though that might be true in some cases, but the message in “I Will Be” is intentional, meaning how our higher power God will always be there for us because he loves us all so much. It’s a definite love song.
